Our goal is to repair them as quickly as possible. Usually, we can have them back the same day,” said owner Chad Shores. In addition to repairs and service, Rad Rydz also sells golf carts. Shores’ wife Andrea explained, “Most of our carts are bought from golf courses. We can customize them by adding back seats, lights, lifts, custom paints, wheels, tires, and upholstery — you name it, and we can do it. For a Clemson fan, we once painted one orange and purple with matching upholstery.” COVID-19 has caused significant changes since Rad Rydz opened its current location, including a shortage of golf carts and a steep price increase of available models. “We are paying 100 to 150% more per cart than we were in April and May,” said Shores. “However, our vehicle facelifts allow customers to stretch their resources while driving a cart that looks brand new.
