Occupation or how you spend your time (hobby, college, etc.): I enjoy being an advanced massage therapist and life coach. I share an office with Chiropractor Dr. Kathleen Hahn. I’m fascinated by the human body and honestly enjoy helping others. What are you most looking forward to in 2021? I am excited to see a new year, and I look forward to discovering more friendships. Any NewYear’s Resolutions? Last year was to eat more dark chocolate and drink more red wine — that is one I know I kept all year. I think this year will be simple — to stay kind. Sum up how 2020 went for you in one sentence: 2020 challenged me to stay focused on what I can learn while being patient with myself and others. Renee Sharrise Snipe Where are you from originally? I have lived in Mount Pleasant all my life. Occupation or how you spend your time (hobby, college, etc.): I am the community personal care manager at Mount Pleasant Gardens. I spend personal time with my family and grandchildren. I also enjoy attending my local church, Olive Branch AME, and am an active member of Daughters of Sarah, mentoring young women. What are you most looking forward to in 2021? I can’t wait to see the residents we love and care for united with their families and loved ones. It’s been difficult on our residents and their families. Any NewYear’s Resolutions? Growing as I have been in health care, I would like to finish school and become a community residential care administrator. I love the assisted living industry and would like to continue to provide leadership within it. Sum up how 2020 went for you in one sentence: The pandemic is nothing any of us wanted, however it made me cherish and value the love I share with family, work peers and friends. EbonyMullins Where are you from originally? San Diego and a brief time in Alabama. Roll Tide Roll! Occupation or how you spend your time (hobby, college, etc.): Former engineer with Navy; wine shop owner; cooking and tasting wine. What are you most looking forward to in 2021? I am looking forward to positive change, healing for the world from the pandemic and traveling. Any NewYear’s Resolutions? I never make them because it never works out, although I want to start powerlifting again. Sum up how 2020 went for you in one sentence: I bought a house, bought a business, sold a house and moved from one coast to another in the middle of the pandemic. Basically we are wonder women. Hear us roar! Hannah Stone Where are you from originally? Lexington, South Carolina. Occupation or how you spend your time (hobby, college, etc.): I enjoy playing with my two kittens, being an aunt to my two nephews, making blankets — a newfound hobby that I love — and going for walks on the beach. I am a baker/decorator/right hand at Bakies at I’on. What are you most looking forward to in 2021? I’m looking forward to having a fresh start. 2020 has been tough for everyone, so I am ready to begin a new year with clear eyes and a full heart. Any NewYear’s Resolutions? My resolution is to be more present and in the moment — to spend less time on social media and more time with the people I love. Sum up how 2020 went for you in one sentence: 2020 has been so weird and full of trials, but it’s taught me to be patient and hopeful during the hard times.
