How did your business get started? We started small with a 1200-square-foot location on Daniel Island in 2018 and quickly grew to having two Charleston area sales and service locations opened in the same year. In 2019, we purchased Low Country Golf Carts of Mount Pleasant and rebranded it to Charleston Custom Carts. With an extensive remodel of the building, showroom and shop we were able to open this as our second flagship location on the corner of Highway 17 and 41, only two months after we purchased it. Charleston Custom Carts is a familyowned business with strong roots in the area. What is your most popular service? What sets us aside from the rest is our commitment to build and customize each golf cart for the customer’s specific needs. We take each customer’s idea and intended uses for their golf cart and custom design it with their involvement every step of the way. What is it like working with the Mount Pleasant community? Mount Pleasant is not only where we do business, it’s where we call home. We have lived and worked in Mount Pleasant for over 12 years now, and the community is just amazing.
