PETS 6 C O V E R The Magnificent Seven AND THEIR HUMANS, OF COURSE! here are dog people, and then there are dog people. And this issue’s cover family epit- omizes dog people. They are essentially “professional fosters,” offering their experience, their patience and their home to so many dogs in need. Since retiring, they have fostered 84 dogs, mostly puppies, and stayed in touch with many of their families, allowing them to follow along in their journeys. One pup, Charlie, has kept in touch through his people’s military deploy- ments, and, most recently, appearing in his humans’ “She said yes” engagement photos.
