www.MtPleasant.Pet | www.MPVets.Pet | www.facebook.com/MPpets G U I D E PETS 22 PARSLEY AND MINT BREATH REFRESHERS Ingredients • 2 ½ cups old-fashioned oats • ½ cup fresh parsley, finely chopped • ½ cup fresh mint, finely chopped • 1 large egg • ¼ cup water, plus 1 tablespoon (more water as needed to form dough) • 3 tablespoons melted coconut oil Instructions 1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees. 2. Add oats to blender (food processer works well) and pulse until flour-like. 3. In a large bowl, whisk together diced parsley, mint, egg, water and oil. Add oat flour and stir to combine. 4. Knead dough a few times, then turn out onto lightly floured surface. 5. Using hands or rolling pin, flatten dough to about an eighth of an inch thick. Using a cookie cutter of choice, cut out treats. Place treats about ¼ inch apart on a parchment-lined or nonstick cookie sheet. Bake 35-40 minutes, or until golden and crispy. 6.
