Examples include murals at Five Loaves Cafe and Page’s Okra Grill. While your taste buds dance with joy as you dine on the culinary delights offered by these two popular restaurants, your eyes will also find delight in the artistic appeal of these locations imparted by Jazzy’s talent. I’ve known Jazzy’s father and mother, Steve and Penny, for years. I’ve always enjoyed talking with Jazzy but am sorry to say I wasn’t familiar with her creative powers. When I started following her on Facebook (Facebook.com/jazzyjor- danart), I realized she wasn’t only creative but was also very passionate about living each day of her life. I could see her passion for living through her art. But what I didn’t know at the time was her incredible ability to capture the person- alities of four-legged family members — and to do so by creating distinct, original portraits with flair — throughout the Mount Pleasant and Charleston areas. If you’re a fan of Mount Pleasant Pets or the accompa- nying website, MountPleasant.Pet, you know I help my goldendoodle, Charlie, publish Mount Pleasant Pets . I know after reading this, you’re saying, “Sure Bill. …” But really, he is the publisher. I mean, think about it: If you wanted to publish a magazine about tennis or golf, wouldn’t a tennis player or golfer be the best person to publish those respec- tive magazines? That’s why I agreed to help Charlie publish Mount Pleasant Pets — because he was my friend who happens to be a dog. It was the perfect way to publish a pet magazine. See my logic? Now Charlie is very laid back, and he wasn’t that excited about being the face of Mount Pleasant Pets . But after a little persuading and a few of his favorite dog treats — yes, I did bribe my four-legged friend — he agreed to be the face of Mount Pleasant Pets . After we talked, I reached out to Jazzy. After sending her Charlie’s photo with his sunglasses and hat on, I could feel her excitement. And if you all knew Charlie like I do, you would know Jazzy completely cap- tured his personality through her work.
