She now resides in Mount Pleasant with her husband and two children. After many years of doing promotion for Atlantic Records, she decided to pursue her love of writing. Mary Coy is a fifth-generation Charlestonian and a graduate of the College of Charleston. She is a former teacher in local classrooms, museums and historic sites and, nowadays, is a licensed tour guide. The author of six books about Charleston, she is also a freelance journalist. Her articles have appeared in national publications, as well as local magazines and newspapers. Colin McCandless is a Charleston-based freelance writer and editor who enjoys writing about interesting people and places. He was born and raised in Mount Pleasant and returned home to the Lowcountry five years ago after living 14 years in the mountains of Western North Carolina. Bill Farley is an author whose published works include a first-person account of the Apollo 11 moon-landing mission from a reporter’s perspective, a satire on the Olympics, a novel on the adult-entertainment industry and his current book, “Team Player,” a mystery/thriller. He moved to Mount Pleasant from Los Angeles, where he had served as vice president, marketing for Playboy Enterprises, Inc. as chief media spokesman for its founder, Hugh M. Hefner.
