Our East Cooper Neighbors MELANIE CHAMBERS Where do you live? I live on Daniel Island. What is your occupation? I am a registered triage nurse for an OB/GYN. What is your favorite thing to do with your family over the summer? My favorite thing to do with my family over the summer is to go to the beach or the pool. We really love to go to Isle of Palms beach on the weekend. It is family-friendly, and we like to play volleyball there. Do you prefer watching the sunrise or sunset on the beach? I love to watch the sunset on the beach. There is something so magical about being at the beach when the sun is setting. It is one of God’s masterpieces.. EMILY SCHUTTE Where do you live? Mount Pleasant What is your business? I own Rock Solid Gymnastics. What is your favorite thing to do in Charleston over the summer? I love dinners with friends and family outside on the porch soaking up the evening sunshine. I also love spending late afternoons at Red’s watching the boats come in. What is your favorite part of your job? My favorite part of my job is watching skills come together for kids. After they have worked so hard, I love seeing their tenacity and determination pay off for them. The joy they have makes this job so worthwhile and so much more than a job. TASO CHAKERIS Where do you live? Isle of Palms What is your occupation? I am an attorney. What is your favorite thing about summers in Charleston? Summer in Charleston means being active outside all day…being able to surf in the morning, take the dog on a walk at the beach, sneak in a bike ride to the marina for a snack and end the day on the boat in the evenings. Who do you enjoy spending time at the beach with? My favorite people to be at the beach with are my wife Ashley and three children Kendall, Ava and Clay.
