I just love our front cover, but I’m going to throw myself under the bus here. I had never previously been to this event, but now I will never miss it. By now you’ve probably heard Mount Pleasant was recently honored to receive the All-America City Award for the third time in 13 years. Not only that, but Mount Pleasant is the only town in South Carolina to receive three All-America City Awards. You would think that says it all, right? Sure it’s great for our town to be honored this way, but for me the real story was watching how residents throughout Mount Pleasant were energized and united to make this happen. Seriously y’all, the way our community mobilized and directed their efforts to generate creative and heartfelt stories that embraced the heart and soul of our community was amazing.
