Their waffles are offered in two different styles. The bubble waffle is a traditional Chinese street food made using egg batter and a waffle iron to create spheres on the surface, giving it a crispy exterior and fluffy interior. Alternately, customers can opt for the liege waffle, which is made from brioche and laced with pearl sugar to give it a sweeter and buttery flavor. Of course, ice cream is the other half of the equation. They are one of the few locations offering specialty flavors alongside the standard, such as a flavor hailing from the Philippines, ube. But more than anything, The Dolly Llama stresses creativity, providing over a dozen different toppings and sauces to compliment the customer’s very own creation. Owner Candance McNerny emphasized such creativity by stating, “We do offer a signature menu, but I love to see guests be creative and build their own dessert.” Furthermore, McNerny’s desire for catering, bringing the desire for creativity to their customers’ birthdays and festivals, offers up one-of-a-kind desserts for their customers.
