It took me living with him through a few Fourth of Julys for me to sense why he was always excited about this month. All you have to do is look at this photo he has published in my intro page to my Pet section to know something is up. It’s really two things that excite my buddy Bill. One is history. He gets really animated, like I do sometimes when he walks into the room. I try to control myself, but I just love my buddy. Sorry, I digress. He gets so enthusiastic because four signers of the Declaration of Independence are from South Carolina. At 26, two of them were the youngest signers of our country’s most treasured document; Edward Rutledge, born in Reggie’s Rep rt Charleston, and Thomas Lynch Jr., born just up the coast in Georgetown. Both were born in 1749, four months apart, with Thomas Lynch Jr. the younger of the two. I can’t believe I know these random facts. Speaking of random, I asked my buddy Bill if any of the signers had four-legged family members. You know what his comment was? ‘Of course! Next to every great human is an even more awesome pup!’ Isn’t he a great dude? At least I think so. I can’t leave you without mentioning our picture together. Pretty cool, right? My buddy Bill wanted to create an AI image that took us back in time. He loves every July for its historic value and AI because it points to the future.
