After working for a national company whose model promoted seeing many patients each day, she opened Coastal Integrative Psychiatry, a private practice that is dedicated to uncovering and healing the root causes of trauma through a comprehensive mind-bodyspirit approach. She firmly believes healing occurs when her patient finally feels heard. Miller noted, “I help adults struggling with anxiety, depression, PTSD and childhood-attachment wounds to improve their quality of life by combining medication management with integrative therapies, including specialized trauma healing and nutritional support.” She believes that you have the ability to heal and transform when you do the difficult work of diving into the root cause. Today Miller brings this comprehensive approach to her patients, combining traditional psychiatric care with evidence-based integrative therapies, while creating a warm, non-judgmental space where healing can occur. Her practice is grounded in the understanding that true healing addresses not just symptoms, but the whole person. “Living with chronic pain can feel isolating, exhausting and discouraging – especially when you’ve tried medications or procedures that offer only temporary relief,” said Miller. “Many people begin to wonder, ‘Is there something deeper going on that no one has explored?’” Instead of focusing on symptoms alone, she works with her patients to uncover the root contributors to their pain and create a comprehensive plan that supports healing on multiple levels. Miller’s work has been shaped by witnessing the effects of unresolved trauma and attachment wounds within families. Having navigated addiction in her own family, she understands the ache parents feel when watching a child struggle, and the frustration of a health care system that often fails to address the underlying “why.” These experiences inspired her to pursue advanced training in trauma-focused therapies, including modalities that help adults heal from childhood wounds that continue to echo into adulthood. Miller’s goal is to help you move from merely coping to reclaiming comfort, movement and quality of life. She champions a whole-person healing journey that merges evidence-based medical care with trauma-informed, integrative therapies. Her methodology blends targeted medication management, inner child work and personalized tools like nutritional analysis, lifestyle coaching, mindfulness and inner-child processing. With this fullspectrum approach, Miller partners with you to foster resilience and restore balance for your mind, body and spirit. She added, “It’s my desire to lead you to your bright future – it’s closer than you think.” Miller and her husband Bruce, who grew up in the Old Village, not only reside in Mount Pleasant, but also share offices on Stuart Engals Boulevard. When not helping others, she loves traveling, spending time with their grands and enjoying our Lowcountry, especially the water! Rediscover Balance . . .
