Raised on Folly Beach, his just knew he was destined to work on or near the water for DNR or as a marine biologist. His uncle was a helicopter mechanic in Vietnam and he taught Trey how to work on cars. His parents would not buy Trey his own vehicle so his ‘big sis’ (and still his best friend) bought him a 1984 Ford Escort when he was in high school. After completing boot camp for the US Navy at age 18, the first car he bought himself was a 1992 VW Passat. Now he drives a Sierra crew cab, which serves him well getting him to and from the boat landing – he spends his downtime on the saltwater, of course!
