Located just minutes from Isle of Palms and with easy access to Highway 17 and the convenience of “downtown Seaside,” as well as a wide range of housing options and price ranges, this established community attracts home buyers from all over. “As a resident of the neighborhood myself,” said Andrea Rogers, managing broker for Agent Owned Realty Isle of Palms, “Seaside Farms is more than just a neighborhood. It is a lifestyle. I would not live anywhere else.” It seems others feel the same way Rogers does; some of her clients have sold their homes in Seaside Farms only to move back again because they love the neighborhood so much. “The neighborhood has such staying power,” Rogers explained. Built by Gulf Stream Construction Company, a subsidiary of the developer, The Beach Company, Seaside Farms is an intriguing marsh community that has four different developments which offer a top-of-the-line selection of homes in a wide variety of price ranges. “Seaside Farms has an atypical architectural design,” explained Gene Styles, a resident of Marais at Seaside Farms. “Marais is a place where we have the best of both worlds. Our lifestyle is typical of retirement living. We want standard amenities plus closeness to the beach, golf, shopping and other forms of recreation. The convenience and availability of these factors, combined with affordable prices, were primary considerations.” Marais, a subsection of Seaside Farms, is made up of two-and three-bedroom town homes ranging in price from $415,000 to $567,000, based on sales from 2017. Prices are holding steady and eight town homes sold during the year. Long Grove is a condominium community with one- to three-bedroom plans ranging in price from $137,000 to $215,000. Current prices reflect the positive state of real estate in the Lowcountry and are increasing steadily. Windward Point, a smaller, more upscale condo community in Seaside Farms, is located across from the grocery store and closer to all of the shops and dining that are accessible by walking, cars, bicycles or even golf carts. The three- and four-bedroom plans range from $440,000 to $550,000. The main development of Seaside Farms is made up of three- to five-bedroom single family homes ranging in price from $425,000 to $850,000, based on home sales in 2017. Nearly two dozen homes sold during this time period and prices have increased more than 10 percent from the prior year’s sales, based on an average price per square foot. Cathedral Oaks, a high-end section of the neighborhood with many of the homes overlooking the marsh and many with water views, includes ponds and a large saltwater pond. Prices range from $800,000 to $1.33 million. Seaside Farms boasts a menagerie of residents who enjoy the many amenities, including professionals, young families and retirees. The ease of accessing “downtown Seaside” and the retail stores, physicians and restaurants are all reasons people choose to live in Seaside Farms. “You don’t have to leave the neighborhood after work. Seaside Farms has it all,” Rogers said. By Stacy E. Domingo To learn more about Seaside Farms and its individual developments, visit www.seasidefarmshomes.com .
