A recent economic development strategy conducted by the Town of Mount Pleasant in 2022 showed that 74 percent of workers who live in Mount Pleasant commute elsewhere in the region. Only 26 percent of residents work locally. We’ve inferred this data to mean that the majority of residents need more information about what types of services their local businesses can offer them. Just because you don’t work in your community, doesn’t mean you can’t give back to your community.
