43 www.ReadMPM.com | www.MountPleasantMagazine.com | www.MountPleasantPodcast.com Photographer George Brown is not used to being the subject of focus. That’s because he’s too busy living life behind the lens, capturing moments in time that last a lifetime. A Charleston native, Brown developed his photography business in 2015. Coming from a financial and government background, Brown knew that design was his favorite area of expertise. Designing websites and marketing material since age 12, Brown decided to venture full time into web design and marketing. One of the neatest things about Brown’s business is that he never spends money on marketing due to his respected reputation. His company grew organically by word of mouth after people saw his work and it spoke for itself. Creative Collective Agency is a full-service creative arts firm offering web design, logo design, marketing materials, photography and videography. Its stunning Instagram page illustrates the creative genius of the company and the many innovative design techniques that can be explored. “What I want to be known for in the Lowcountry is my ability to adapt in any situation, adjust, assess and be able to execute precisely. I’ve worked with many people from various backgrounds, and we’ve always been able to make the vision expressed come alive,” stated Brown. Brown is truly a jack of all trades when it comes to his diverse portfolio. He has worked in the fashion industry, with government conferences, done real estate photography/videography and created social media content for small businesses. His specialties are weddings, corporate and family event photography and videography. He also does family portraits and corporate headshots. Brown said his passion and love for the work he collaborates on and the beauty he captures sets him apart from the competition. The desire to grow his clients in an authentic and affordable way builds the relationships essential to a blossoming partnership. “Because I love what I do, I offer the same services as the ‘big dogs’ for a portion of the cost,” Brown said. “We know sometimes cost is an issue and we believe that everyone deserves a chance when building and scaling your company’s growth. You need this done without the big bucks, leaving you more funds to put into your business.” Brown is proud of his business, but a few standalone opportunities are a specific point of pride. Out of several photographers around the world, he was hand selected to sit front and center stage at New York Fashion Week and the Miss Universe Pageant to film and photograph. Whether you’re famous or not, Brown treats all his subjects like celebrities because they’re the stars of the show. “My favorite thing to capture are the candid moments,” he said. “Times where one is having the best time of their lives with laughter, enjoyment with their friends and family expressing themselves to the fullest.” Brown wants clients to know that getting started is easy. He is personable and easy to work with, and wants to understand the needs of every client, making sure they have more than the basics in getting started. Brown never sees anyone as a client, but rather as a friend. “Throughout our communication and working together on projects, I can easily say, everyone I’ve worked with has been an ongoing friend,” he added.
