Foushee, her husband, Chris, and their two children, Kailey, 12, and Jonah, 8, moved to Mount Pleasant from Seattle in June 2018, and live in the Dunes West community. Being a newcomer to our town, Foushee expressed her appreciation of the “happenings” in the magazine: “Coming from out of town, it’s really hard to dig in and find those things; it’s kind of like a layout of what’s going on and a starting place of finding more information.” The Foushee family enjoys spending their free time outdoors, kayaking, hiking and camping and looks forward to seeing what the Lowcountry has to offer. “We are really good at being tourists wherever we live because we don’t know how long we’re going to live there, so we just really dig into the community when we get there,” Foushee explained, as her husband is a C-17 pilot for the U.S. Air Force.
