She recognized that the pandemic and resulting school shutdowns were creating a need: scheduling and accountability partners for students learning from home for the first time. Isabel Alvarez Arata is a freelance writer and content creator with a focus on business, marketing and lifestyle. Her passion lies in sharing her knowledge of pets, pet care and pet-friendly living. She contributes to various online and print outlets, including her own pet-related podcast and blog, “Covered in Pet Hair.” Eileen Casey spent decades working in the television and music industries on the “ABC in Concert” weekly series. She also worked on both network and cable prime-time specials. After relocating to the Hamptons where she completed her master’s degree, she was the arts & entertainment editor and then managing editor for the award-winning website, Hamptons.com, becoming editor-in-chief before relocating to Mount Pleasant. An award-winning journalist, editor and mixed media artist, Eileen exhibits her artwork across the country. Bill Farley has had a long multi-media career. A native New Yorker, he moved to Mount Pleasant in 2005 after working in local and national network news, sports and entertainment. Most recently, he served as vice president of marketing, vice president of Playboy Jazz Festivals and president of Playboy models. He was also a media spokesman for Playboy’s iconic founder, Hugh M. Hefner. Mary Coy is an expert on Charleston history. Not only has she published several books on the subject, she can also be found giving tours of the Holy City in her free time. She has written for Mount Pleasant Magazine for more than 10 years. Sherry Whiting is a freelance writer and full-time project analyst. She has over 15 years of experience developing and editing marketing materials, newsletters, policies and technical documents. She is a graduate of the University of Virginia.
