In December 2022, SSMG opened The Marsh at Carolina Park, a privately-owned, all-inclusive, independent assisted living and memory care community. The Marsh is an ideal solution for people who are looking for a home that is as affordable as it is comfortable for their loved ones. The Marsh offers three meals a day plus snacks in a restaurant-style setting, on-site services such as physical, occupational and speech therapists, a hair salon, a movie theater, as well as activities for residents. Also, as there are no visiting hours, families are welcome to come by any time. Moreover, The Marsh provides transportation to and from appointments with specialists or for off-site activities. Further, Dr. Tamika Ravenell with MUSC is a podiatrist who visits The Marsh residents once a quarter.
