56 www.MountPleasantMagazine.com | www.ILoveMountPleasant.com | www.BestofMP.com T o say that I enjoyed interviewing this round of subjects for “We Are Mount Pleasant” is quite an understatement – a guitarist and songwriter from an iconic band that was basically the soundtrack to my teen years; one of my favorite teachers, whose lessons have long stayed with me and countless others; the owner of a toy store that I used to love as a child and now bring my children to; and a respected medical doctor I follow on Instagram. These are all people who have impacted me – and thousands of others in Mount Pleasant – in very positive ways. What puts the cherry on top of it all during this holiday season of giving is knowing these individuals do truly give year-round. They dedicate their time to help others find joy, to educate them in some way and to improve their lives. This continuing feature in Mount Pleasant Magazine is intended to introduce some of the people who live or work here who make our community better or unique, and, I, for one, am proud to say I share the same town with them.
