She is the owner of Be Present Marketing and finds joy in writing about the people, places, culture, history and food that shape the Lowcountry. Colin McCandless is a Charleston- based freelance writer who enjoys writing about history, nature, travel and outdoor recreation. He has more than 14 years of writing experience working for magazines and newspapers and developing blog and website content. In his spare time, he loves traveling, hiking, reading and playing tennis and trivia. The author of four books, Bill Farley began his media career as a newspaper reporter. Along the way he has worked in local and national radio, national television news and sports, prime-time network television programming and as a senior executive at Playboy and spokesman for its founder, Hugh M. Hefner. He has now come full circle to writing about local issues and people in the Lowcountry. A man who wears many hats, Jeremy Colley is a freelance photographer and founder of Southern Studios LLC in Moncks Corner, South Carolina. Jeremy is happily married to Brittany, and is the proud father of Murphy Kate. Jeremy is also the Youth Pastor of Macedonia Christian Church. Photography and videography has been a passion of Jeremy’s for many years. Katherine Waters is a freelance writer and South Carolina native who first fell in love with Mount Pleasant during a college internship in Charleston. She has written for a wide variety of audiences and for multiple publications and cherishes the opportunity to tell the stories of Mount Pleasant community members.
