The winner of a record-breaking six Tony Awards, two Grammy Awards and an Emmy, she was named one of Time magazine’s 100 most influential people in 2015 and received a National Medal of Arts. --------------------------------------------------------------------- BREW AT THE ZOO When: Nov. 6 from 5:30 p.m. — 8:30 p.m. Where: Lowcountry Zoo Presented by the Friends of Brookgreen Gardens, Brew at the Zoo is always a favorite fall event. Tickets are $45 for members, $50 for the general public and $25 for guests designated as drivers. Your ticket includes all the beer tasting, entertainment and fun. The Paul Grimshaw Band will be performing! Three vendors will be on-site for our guests who would like to purchase food. Full-size beer and wine will also be available for purchase. --------------------------------------------------------------------- JAZZ BRUNCH When: Nov. 7 from noon – 2 p.m. Where: Kaminski House Museum SoCo Grille will cater a delicious brunch as you listen to the jazzy sounds of Denny Hess. Tickets are $60 and may be purchased at KaminskiMuseum.org or by calling 843-546-7706. --------------------------------------------------------------------- HOLIDAY FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS FUN RUN & WALK When: Nov. 10 & 11 at 6 p.m. Where: James Island County Park Runners and walkers will be the first in Charleston to experience more than 200 magical light displays. This noncompetitive, two-mile course leads to the holiday shops and concessions, making it fun for the whole family. Calendar of Events
