A special street adjacent to the old village and original East Cooper stomping grounds, Coleman is lined with local retail stores, quaint restaurants and swaying palm trees. This is a street where businesses are owned by Mount Pleasant residents, whose top priority is to greet their neighbors and customers with a smile. This is a place where business, friendship and family intersect. Mount Pleasant’s Main Street is home to more local shops than any other street in the town, so it’s no surprise that they have joined together to form an alliance based on commerce and camaraderie. The newly formed group aims to promote and endorse merchants along this historically significant area of Mount Pleasant. These merchants are committed to the integrity of business, customer service and commerce that have helped shape our town into what it is today. The goal is to nurture the growth and deeply rooted values of these businesses, while signaling to consumers that they are in the best hands. When members proudly display the logo of the organizations inside their stores, restaurants or service centers, the people of Mount Pleasant will immediately understand the values and citizenship present at the venue. Mount Pleasant Magazine is proud to be a part of this endeavor and proud to celebrate the efforts of local business owners hundreds of years in the making.
