Between car rides, waiting rooms and an unfamiliar environment, it can be an overwhelming experience. Dr. Sherri Turick and Mt. Pleasant House Call Vet offers another option -- compassionate pet care in the comfort of your home! Turick grew up surrounded by pets and always knew she wanted to be a veterinarian. After graduating from the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine in 2000, Turick worked in small animal private practices in Athens, Georgia, and Summerville. She became a Fear Free Certified Veterinarian in 2020, which undergoes extensive training in techniques that reduce fear, anxiety and stress in their patients. “I feel that house calls take this philosophy to the next level,” Turick said. “I had done house calls over the years while working in vet clinics and always loved the connections that were made in such a comfortable environment.” Turick’s goal was to start Mt.
