But few have coaches from rival colleges that have lived in the same area; Clemson Assistant Coach Tony Elliot and Carolina’s new coach, Shane Beamer, both have called Charleston home. As the next mayoral election is approaching, we want Mount Pleasant residents to get to know our mayoral candidates. Pamela Jouan caught up with the candidates on the campaign trail to bring us an interview of the candidates, beginning on page 37. From potential mayors and coaches to an exclusive interview with the Commissioner of Agriculture, and how pets are serving our vets, we take pride in the amount and quality of our articles. With the beauty of the Carolina coast found right outside our windows, it’s no surprise that we cover local properties and the people who decorate, sell and build them.
