She is the owner of Be Present Marketing and finds joy in writing about the people, places, culture, history and food that shape the Lowcountry. Colin McCandless is a Charleston based freelance writer who enjoys writing about history, nature, travel and outdoor recreation. He has more than 14 years of writing experience working for magazines and newspapers and developing blog and website content. In his spare time, he loves traveling, hiking, reading and playing tennis and trivia. Pamela Jouan was raised in London and has lived in Los Angeles and New York City. She now resides in Mount Pleasant with her husband and two children and serves as chair of the Mount Pleasant Constituent School Board. After many years of working in radio promotion for Atlantic Records, she decided to pursue her love of writing. Pamela has written over 250 magazine articles for celebrity chefs and restaurants and is always in pursuit of the next great story. The author of four books, Bill Farley began his media career as a newspaper reporter. Along the way he has worked in local and national radio, national television news and sports, prime-time network television programming and as a senior executive at Playboy and a spokesman for its founder, Hugh M. Hefner. He has now come full circle to writing about local issues and people in the Lowcountry. Jenny Harrison taught secondary English for eight years before deciding to stay at home and raise her two beautiful daughters. After leaving the classroom, Jenny never stopped writing and teaching. Early this year, she started a new small business, Harrison Academic Mentors. In addition to working with students all over the Charleston area, Jenny writes for various local publications, including Mount Pleasant Magazine . C O M ® Great service, always friendly One thing I want to say about Dr. Hund is that, I never had the impression that he tried to leverage treatments on me that are not necessary. I’ve had my fair share of dentists, and for several of them, I could not get rid of the feeling that they performed unnecessary treatments. Not so with Dr. Hund. I feel comfortable, and when/if he tells me treatments are necessary, I trust that they really are. Also, he recommended me to another doctor for a procedure, and was up-front about knowing the referred doctor and having attended school with him, and the whole procedure went very good as well.
