She spent four years as the festival director of the Charleston to Charleston Literary Festival and specializes in event management, marketing and public relations. British-born professional photographer and director/ producer Mark Staff moved to Charleston in 2018. His work mainly consists of lifestyle and portrait photography and video. Staff enjoys mountain climbing, riding motorcycles and hanging out with his wife and two dogs. His work has taken him to many interesting places across America and abroad. Originally from Buffalo, New York, he always dreamed of living by the beach and palm trees. After years in the restaurant industry, Paul decided to get back to his creative roots and open Paul Valentine Photography. Paul looks to capture genuine moments and emotion in his photography. When he’s not behind the lens, he loves to spend time with his wife and two young children. He is happy to call Mount Pleasant home. Chesley Lanford was born and raised in Asheville, North Carolina. Though he spent many years in the insurance industry, he continued to hone the crafts of portrait and landscape photography in his free time, even studying the art in college. His work has been featured in a plethora of magazines, airports and prominent tourist attractions. He also won photo of the year with WNC Magazine. Drawn by the natural beauty, he is now relocating to The Lowcountry to continue his pursuit of the perfect photo. Ryan Norris graduated from Clemson University in 2020 with a degree in management, though journalism is his greatest passion. A South Carolina native from Sumter, he grew up often travelling to Mount Pleasant. Norris is proud to have the opportunity to write for a publication he has grown up reading. In his free time, he is an avid runner and sports enthusiast. He also enjoys trying out new local restaurants across the Lowcountry. Sherry Whiting is a freelance writer and fulltime project analyst. She has over 15 years of experience developing and editing marketing materials, newsletters, policies and technical documents. She is a graduate of the University of Virginia.
