MARKETING CONTENT BEST OF 2016

A Significant Impression

on the Market – andVoters

O

nly a few years after

he opened the Mount Pleasant

RE/MAX/Alliance office, Caleb

Pearson has made a significant

impression on the Charleston area

real estate market.

He and the Caleb Pearson

Team earned “Best of Mount Pleasant” honors in two

categories: best individual agent and best real estate

team. In addition, Pearson has the

number one producing RE/MAX

team in Charleston

and the number three

RE/MAX team in the

Carolinas region. They

also have received

national recognition –

they are one of the top

producing teams in

the country.

The company

handles home purchases,

home sales and vacant

land sales. Caleb

Pearson, Clay Pearson,

Justin Teachey, Brandon

Bott, Matt Alderman, Chris Street, Amanda Perry, Jonathan

Hoff, Justin Batt, Pamela Lazarus, Chelynne Crowell and

Alexis Webb make up the Caleb Pearson Team.

“I graduated in 2011 with a business degree and

had a job lined up in Raleigh,” Pearson explained. “The

job didn’t start until the fall, so I decided to move to

Charleston for a few months. I met a woman, Betty Gales,

who was successful in real estate. She took me under her

wing and mentored me, along with her partners, Robert

Jeter and Hank Johnson. From there things started to

really take off.”

Pearson called the culture at his agency “unbelievable,”

adding, “We all absolutely love what we do. The personalities

on our team are tough to beat. Each person on our team goes

above and beyond for the client. Our main focus is to treat

everyone as though they are our only client.”

Real estate is not about a commission check to Pearson.

Instead, he wants to do what is best for his clients,

sometimes even advising them to rent a home or wait for

the market to improve.

“I would love to have the sale, but they will come back

to me down the road when the timing and the market are

right. I also find myself turning down listings if the client

has unrealistic expectations. It is not fair to the client to

take a listing when they believe the house is worth more

than it actually is.”

Pearson believes

he has become more

of an educator than a

salesman over the past

few years. His goal is

to make sure his clients

understand what it takes

for a home to sell for

top dollar.

“It is not my job to

sell the client on using

me as their Realtor. It is

my job to educate them

and guide them along

the process. It is ultimately their choice on where to price

the home.”

Pearson believes Mount Pleasant is the best area in

Charleston for him to do business.

“The school systems are great, the real estate market is

booming, the people are phenomenal and everything is right

at the tip of your fingers – beaches, restaurants, shopping.”

As for receiving recognition as one of Mount Pleasant’s

“Bests” Pearson said, “It is extremely humbling. It is a team

effort though. A lot of hard work, long hours and growing

pains have gone into our growth.”
