“Reclaimed wood was a natural fit for not only the green
aspect but also the story behind the
origin of the wood and the character
that comes with it,” said Salt Wood Co. owner Vann
Cochran. “We use wood from old houses in downtown
Charleston and old structures as far away as California,
Kentucky and Virginia.”
Salt Wood Co. is made up of a team of experts who are
incredibly skilled at perfecting the art of reinvention. Seeing
the untapped potential in 18th century barn wood or old
floorboards, they go to work to bring out the beauty that
only time and dedication can produce.
Open since 2013, Salt Wood’s work can be found
everywhere from hotel lobbies to family homes. Working
one-on-one with clients to ensure their visions become
realities, Salt Wood Co. thrives on completing imaginative
projects that push boundaries.
“There is no better feeling than delivering a piece and
knowing the client not only had a good experience but
truly appreciated what we built for them,” said Cochran.
“It’s all about expectations and with reclaimed wood. With
patience, we can mold even the most unruly wood into
what the customer has envisioned.”
