The final piece of advice these fitness folk shared for

losing weight is that consistency is key. Have a plan to

exercise at least three days a week in order to see results.

“If you do it the right way and take it day by day and

week to week, you will be a lot more successful,” according

to Duffy.

GO-TOTIPS: THE PROSWEIGH IN

• Breakfast:

This oatmeal concoction combines a

half cup of dry, quick-cooking oatmeal, a fourth of

a cup of raisins or berries, one tablespoon of vanilla

flavored brown rice protein powder and a half to

three quarters of a cup of water. Microwave for a

minute and 45 seconds, then add a fourth of a cup

of plain nonfat Greek yogurt. Mix well and enjoy.

(Tip: Make this ahead of time by mixing all the dry

ingredients with water in a mason jar, then refrigerate

it until you are ready to cook.) Meredith Nelson said,

“It’s the perfect blend of complex carbohydrates and

protein to start the day.”

• Snack:

Andrew Duffy recommends hard-boiled egg

whites with hummus instead of the yolk, and a side

piece of fruit. Vary the hummus with a different flavor

each time.
