I really can’t believe I’m writing my first publisher’s note

for Mount Pleasant’s first and only magazine and website

just for me and my friends. Mount Pleasant Pets and www.

MountPleasant.Pet are both labors of love.

It all began one afternoon when I was walking with my

buddy Bill down by the Pitt Street Bridge. I wanted to tell

him my idea of a pet magazine and website just for Mount

Pleasant. It was an idea recently discussed by several of my

pack friends: Journey, Jelly Bean, Piper, Trinity and my

BDF, or best dog friend, Madison.

But as we walked toward the remains of the old Pitt Street

Bridge, it was difficult, as usual, to get Bill's attention. Even

though we were there to spend some quality time together,

he kept stopping to talk to people. It seems wherever we go,

he is running his mouth. Don’t misunderstand me, I love

my buddy Bill, but sometimes he’s a handful and it’s hard to

keep him focused on our conversations.

After walking for a while, we both looked toward the

Charleston skyline. I looked at Bill and said, “I like Charles-

ton, but I LOVE Mount Pleasant.” Then I thought to

myself, this is a perfect time to tell Bill about my publishing

idea! With much enthusiasm, I went right into the idea my

BDF, the others and I had talked about. I couldn’t help my-

self, I was so excited. I went on to explain about my idea for

a website and publication for Mount Pleasant that focuses

on the best places to go, stay, play and be healthy for all my

friends and other pets, too. As I looked into my buddy Bill's

eyes, much like he

looks into my eyes

and knows what

I’m thinking, I

knew I finally had

his attention, and

I knew what he

was thinking. He

liked my ideas! I

couldn’t believe it.

Not only is the

Pitt Street bridge

a G-R-R-eat place

to take a walk, I

will now always

remember it as the

place I convinced

my buddy Bill to

help me publish

Mount Pleasant’s

only pet magazine

and pet website. So thanks, everyone, for reading the new

magazine, and thank you to my favorite pack friends for

helping me take the idea and bring it to our owners and

other human friends. This is a doggone good publication.

Sincerely,

Charlie the Goldendoodle
