Along the way he has worked in local and national radio, national television news and sports, prime-time network television programming and as a senior executive at Playboy and spokesman for its founder, Hugh M. Hefner. He has now come full circle to writing about local issues and people in the Lowcountry. Isabel Alvarez Arata is a freelance writer and copywriter with a focus on business, marketing and lifestyle. Her passion lies in sharing her knowledge of pets, pet care and pet-friendly living. She contributes to various online and print outlets, including Mount Pleasant Magazine and her pet-related web and radio show, “Covered in Pet Hair.” A native of Lexington, South Carolina, Fay M. Boudet lived in Nevada for seven years before moving to the Lowcountry in 2018. Her background is in grants management, writing and working with nonprofits, and she has been freelance writing since 2020.
