Bill served as the chairman of the board for a well-regarded
retirement home north of Charleston for several years. “I’m
well-versed in housing for seniors,” says Bill, who visited a number
of residential facilities around the state in his role as board chair-
man. “I knew what to look for, and my wife and I had done our
homework about what we wanted. For us, Sandpiper was clearly
the best all-round choice. We had many friends already here,
everything is all on one floor, and the food is excellent.”
